A guided coherent breathing session: 6 seconds in and 6 seconds out, through the nose or the mouth. After a short lesson there are three rounds that get longer, then a closing. 00:00 Technique 00:58 Round 1 06:57 Round 2 14:57 Round 3 26:59 Closing ⚠️ Before you practise Sit or lie down somewhere safe. Never practise while driving, riding, bathing, swimming or near water. If you can't hold your breath any longer, breathe in; this is not a contest. If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and return to natural breathing. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition or serious health problem, ask a medical professional first. This is not medical advice.

Yo, I'm Ed. Welcome to Edphily's breathing space. Today we'll learn a technique called coherent breathing. This special technique supports mitochondrial health, relaxes the body, and releases trauma. Slow breathing increases oxygen uptake, reducing inflammation, depression, and anxiety. Breathe in through your nose for 6 seconds. Breathe out through your nose for 6 seconds. You can also breathe through your mouth. What matters most is breathing smoothly and relaxing completely.

It's okay if you can't manage 6 seconds. Just breathe as comfortably as you can for a few more breaths. Once your body gets a feel for it, it will know what to do. Okay, let's begin. 3 2 1

As you breathe in, focus on any sensations in your body. Exhale slowly, as if you're sighing. 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 Let your awareness go wherever it's drawn. Don't use thoughts to label what you feel. 1 2 3 4 5 6

1 2 3 4 5 6 Keep following your breath and the sensations it creates in your body. Don't judge your sensations or question whether your breath caused them. 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 Keep feeling into your body.

Breathe in joy. Breathe out negative energy.

3 4 5 6 Stay focused on the sensations in your body. Exhale fully, then hold. Keep your attention inside your body. Wherever the sensations move, follow them.

If you can't hold any longer, take a small breath in. Exhale, then hold again. The more you relax, the better it works. If thoughts arise, relax and let them go. Return to the sensations in your body.

5 4 3 2 1 Take a deep breath in. Hold. 5 4 3 2 1 Exhale. That completes this round. 3 2 1 Round 2
